epi Birthday to you happyAge!

Unbelievable! The official European epiAge adventure started over a year ago. Of course, it had been germinating in our CEO Martin’s brain for much, much longer. But the actual hatching of a start-up is a breath-taking adventure -with so many different aspects to it…

To start with, there is the geography: epiAge classically started in Martin’s living-room. To grow (and save domestic peace), it then relocated to a small office. And now, a move to much bigger premises is being actively considered. But this micro-geography is reflected in a more macro-expansion. From the initial β-tests carried out with friends and family, epiAge has taken on not just the traditional German-speaking markets –including Austria and Switzerland – but has been actively distributing tests in many European countries and beyond. Currently, Elena, our new Sales and Marketing representative – yes, the staff is also slowly but surely increasing!– is actively tackling the Russian market, a very promising context for anti-ageing.

This expansion is also reflected in the increasing diversity of our distribution channels: from individual customers to a wide variety of B2B actors. Indeed, our tests are now being purchased through specialised and GP practices, pharmacies, clinics, nutritional supplement companies, health influencers and negotiations are also being carried out with health insurances.

But epiAge has much bigger plans since our product portfolio is scheduled to soon include early detection tests for life-threatening diseases, not to mention a vast expansion of our German headquarters to support greater analytical capacity and even better logistics. This new perspective has the potential to revolutionise the health market since early detection means earlier and more precise diagnosis, less invasive treatment, improved survival rates and – last but certainly not least– great quality of life.

So, yes, indeed, horizons look sunny for our company: epi Birthday to you happyAge!
